Sometimes time just dissappears. Like when you are watching You Tube – and follow a link and then follow another link and all of a sudden you have been stuck in You Tube for 3 hours. Or you are playing Wii and some how it got dark outside and you haven’t eaten and you lost 5 hours of your life. When does this time go?
Or when you are standing in a queue to buy your lunch and you only have 30 mins and the person in front of you is building the worlds most complex sandwich in the world and ordering a coffee (weak, soy, flat white, latte with 2 sugars in a tall glass and the milk not too hot) and then the person serving goes and makes the coffee and you have to keep waiting because you now dont have time to walk to the next place and get something and get back to work in time. Where does that time go?
Or when you are stuck in traffic and you get every red light and you get stuck behind an idiot who stops and lets random pedestrians cross the road in the middle of a street, and then drives REALLY slowly and you are on a street where you CANNOT overtake because of a large median strip. And seems to be going to same place you are because there is no getting away from them and you decide that no matter which turn they take next I am going to go the other way – even if it is not the way I want to go – I will go the long way, and then you get stuck in that amazing amount of road works that are being undertaken all over Perth at the moment. And you are late.
Where does that time go? I would like some of it back please….
P.S. Apologies for my previous email and the rambling drink talking – I’d had a hard day. Come to think of it – Ive had a hard day today….champagne anyone?
